Examples Of Public Relations Campaign That Will Inspire You.

Kamila Żmijewska, PiART CEO of the leading PR Agency Warsaw for Cut Flowers, Pot Plants, and Flower Bulbs is glad to continue the pelargonium project. In 2018 for the second time, Poland was one of the selected countries to take part in the pelargonium campaign initiated by European pelargonium breeders.

Pelargonium decoration prepared for RDC Radio stand during The Warsaw Book Fair in 2018.

The aim of the initiative is to promote long-term pelargonium sales in Europe. Public Relations Agency PiART responsible for the activities for the green industry was chosen to continue implementing communication and marketing strategy in Poland. For many years, pelargonium has been a favourite balcony plant here, but mostly chosen by the oldest generation. Thanks to the campaign, PiART is awakening a need among young people to buy more pelargoniums. We observe that each year pelargoniums are chosen by younger people as their favourite summer plants. They appreciate their advantages such as low price, good quality, decorative character, beautiful colours and easy-care.

We’ve divided our activities into two groups and are addressing them to consumers and trade. We reach consumers through social media activities on Facebook and our own social media channels, online marketing and cooperation with influencers. In two years Facebook MojaPelargonia profile is observed by almost 4500 followers in different age and became very interactive. We have already received hundreds of photos of pelargoniums from our followers. Almost every day we receive pelargonium pictures of their balconies, gardens or made in their cities. We collect them and once or even twice a week show them in a special gallery. We are running competitions for a beautiful balcony award and activate bloggers to write about pelargoniums.

Kamila Żmijewska, the top PR Expert for Flowers Markets in Poland, cooperates widely with media. We’ve placed pelargonium studio decorations on popular morning TV programs on commercial and Public channels. We give TV and radio interviews with care tips, and we sponsor balcony and garden design programs with pelargoniums.

We attract potential pelargonium clients at different commercial events by promoting pelargoniums in original ways, for example by creating a giant picture frame covered in colourful pelargoniums where we giveaway plants in return for posting a selfie in the frame on Instagram or at workshops where participants have a possibility to decorate pelargoniums. We also cooperate with trade – including wholesale markets, garden centres and florists – and provide them with POS materials such as care flyers and posters, and we place adverts and banners in trade media with links to our campaign website, www.pelargoniumforeurope.com

Kamila Żmijewska: Ukrainian Flower and Horticulture Market Has Huge Potential.

Flower Expo Ukraine 2018 - XII International exhibition for flower business, horticulture, nurseries, landscape design and floristry in Ukraine gives new perspectives for the worldwide companies. Kamila Żmijewska, CEO of Public Relations Agency PiART for Cut Flowers, Pot Plants, and Flower Bulbs says that Flower Expo Ukraine is the leading and only exhibition for Flower Business, Horticulture, Nurseries, Landscape Design and Floristry in Ukraine.

The exhibition, since its start in 2006, has built up a very solid position as one of the leading trade shows for the entire horticultural and floricultural sector in Eastern Europe and the only trade event for Flower Business in Ukraine. Trade visitors from all regions of Ukraine visit Flower Expo Ukraine making it the very best International platform for the horticultural sector in Ukraine. A high number of quality trade visitors, a large press coverage and the great interest of governmental bodies make the event very professional and attractive.

Next edition is organized on 17-19 April 2018 at the International Exhibition Center (IEC) in Kiev.

During the 2017 edition, 95 companies from 9 countries (Colombia, Ecuador, France, Germany, Israel, Kenya, The Netherlands, Ukraine, and the USA) have chosen Flower Expo Ukraine 2017 as the platform to launch or strengthen their business in Ukraine. Over 7.200 visitors made their way to the exhibition to source new products, make new contacts, obtain market information or visit one of the numerous floral demonstrations. Flower shows kicked off with Jamala, the Ukrainian winner of the 2016 edition of the Eurovision Song Contest, baptizing the new Stokolex “Jamala Tulip”, was a good promotion for the show as it attracted a large audience and created a positive start of the exhibition. Visitors were impressed by a unique demo programme organized by top floral designers like Peter van der Sluis and Ton van Jaarsveld of FlowerFame from The Netherlands and by the Ukrainian Association of Florists and Ascania Flora.

In 2018 Polish companies are awaiting because Ukrainian growers have already started producing flowers for the Polish market due to Free Trade Agreement. For example, a big market player Ascania Flora is already exporting to Poland.

In 2017 the Ukrainian economy grew by 2,5% according to the latest figures from the World Bank. For 2018 a further economic growth of 3% is forecasted. The free trade agreement between the EU and Ukraine that was implemented in 2016 and the reforms that the government is taking are surely contributing to these positive figures. Exhibitors admit that the Ukrainian flower market is making its way up and consumption is increasing again.

Flower Expo Ukraine is being organized by experienced organizers from the Netherlands (Nova Exhibitions BV) and Ukraine (CoD Exhibitions Ltd.) under the patronage of the Flower Council of Ukraine and each year the exhibition brings together industry professionals from the horticultural sector from around Ukraine and other CIS Countries.

The event was hold on the last Friday and the last weekend of May at Hala Koszyki, a new, vibrant meeting place for people in the city, currently Warsaw’s latest must-visit destination with modern restaurants, shops and art space. On the Mother`s Day (In Poland we celebrate on the May 26th) we organised two rounds of workshops. Everyone who joined them could decorate pelargonium for mother.

Within 3 days action everyone who visited Hala Koszyki could take a photo in a special frame decorated with over 50 colourful pelargoniums and receive pelargonium as a gift from our hostess. We invited Panasonic Polska to cooperation. The professional photographer made pictures and placed them on Panasonic Polska Facebook fanpage from which people could download them. Of course everyone could make pictures themselves, but were asked to publish them on Instagram with a hashtag: #mojapelargonia #halakoszyki #panasonicpolska.

The florist Joanna Lewandowska from Kwiatowa Manufaktura company gave also care and handle tips about pelargonium.
Hala Koszyki bloomed with pelargoniums and people were very enthusiastic about the action.
